When an orphaned French girl (Anicée Alvina) living with Parisian relatives meets a rich English lad (Sean Bury) who's run away from home, they become instant chums and decide to create a life apart from the unhappy adult world they inhabit. Escaping to a seaside locale, the two set up house and become lovers. A baby follows, as do grown-up responsibilities -- neither of which the youngsters bargained for in this intimate coming-of-age tale.
