In the Beginning

Career con man Paul (François Cluzet) is enjoying the profits of his latest scam -- in which he's passed himself off as the foreman of a highway extension construction site -- when a lady mayor (Emmanuelle Devos) makes him rethink his criminal ways. Suddenly alive to a world of feelings thanks to his growing interest in the lovely village boss, Paul wants to make things right with his victims -- who, unfortunately, populate an entire region.
