After the difficult labor and delivery of her first child, Elisabeth (Suzie LeBlanc) descends into postpartum depression as she and her husband, Pierre (Patrick Goyette), go to his mother Louise's (Ginette Morin) country home for a lengthy visit. When Pierre returns to work, Elisabeth starts spending time with a neighbor (Marilou Longpré Pilon) while leaving the baby with Louise, and the already fragile situation begins to spiral out of control.
