Allan Hawco returns as private investigator Jake Doyle in the second season of CBC's procedural dramedy set in Newfoundland. As the season begins, the future of Jake's father and partner, Malachy (Sean McGinley), is cloudy. With or without him, Jake must move forward, and new characters such as St. John's mayor Bill Clarke (Rick Roberts) and lawyer Allison Jenkins (Michelle Nolden) assist with -- and complicate -- Jake's cases.
