This award-winning gangster epic follows the careers of three childhood buddies -- led by cold-blooded Libano (Pierfrancesco Favino) -- who turn to crime early and make their way to the top of Rome's underworld in brutal fashion. On the right side of the law, the dogged Inspector Sciajola (Stefano Accorsi) works to bring the gang down. However, he also harbors a dangerous attraction to Patrizia (Anna Mouglalis), the girlfriend of one of his targets.
